Distancia del piso al arte: Nivel del ojo, esto es lo primero y lo mas primordial pues la idea es que el centro del arte se encuentre a nivel del ojo, esto es entre 1.40mts – 1.50mts del suelo pues es la forma de apreciar por completo el arte. Por qué las medidas? pues el nivel del ojo de una persona que mida 6 pies, no es el mismo nivel del ojo que una que mida 5 pies, por tanto siempre es bueno medir y también hacer pruebas previo a colgar.

Distance from floor to art: Eye level, this is the first and most fundamental thing because the idea is that the center of the art is at eye level, this is between 1.40m – 1.50m from the ground as it is the way to appreciate completely the art. Why the measures? Well, the eye level of a person who measures 6’0″ is not the same eye level as someone who measures 5’0″, so it is always good to measure and also do tests before hanging up.

Colgar arte sobre mobiliario

Si el arte que colgaras esta sobre un mueble, sea este una credenza, un sofa, etc, esta debe cumplir las siguientes condiciones:

Escala y proporción: Si recuerdas del post anterior  la escala es la relación en tamaño que guarda un objeto con otro, dicho esto si estas colgando tu arte en relación a otro objeto (sobre el sofa, sobre la credenza, sobre tu cama) procura que se encuentren a escala, la proporción recomendada es que sea un 66% del area en longitud del mueble sobre el cual se ubicara.

Distancia entre mobiliario y arte: Si estas colgando un solo arte o mas de uno del mismo tamaño la distancia del tope del mobiliario al inicio o borde del marco del arte debe ser entre de 15cms a 20cms del mueble, esto ayudara a que se mantenga la relación en la pared.

Distancia entre artes: Si tienes mas de un arte del mismo tamaño, sean pares o trípticos existe una distancia recomendada entre ellas de 7cm a 12cm ya que esto permite la secuencia visual entre ellas.

Pero recuerda que toda regla puede romperse si el propósito esta claro!

Hanging art above Furniture

If the art that you hang is over a piece of furniture, be it a credenza, a sofa, etc., it must meet the following conditions:

But remember that rules could be broken if the purpose is clear!
